************************* The Twelve Concepts (Short Form) Concept 8: The Trustees of the General Service Board act in two primary capacities: (a) With respect to the larger matters of over-all policy and finance, they are the principal planners and administrators. They and their primary committees directly manage these affairs. (b) But with respect to our separately incorporated and constantly active services, the relation of the Trustees is mainly that of full stock ownership and of custodial oversight which they exercise through their ability to elect all directors of these entities. - AA Service Manual, pg. 33

Find someone willing to fulfill the commitment. It's not much of a commitment. Your group deserves it. Why shouldn't your group have a vote on the Districts matters? In October, at the North Florida Area Assembly, we have two Palm Coast members standing for Area positions. In a perfect world, every Group in Flagler Country would have a G.S.R. there to support them and vote for them. Also part of the commitment of G.S.R. is to attend the Area Assembly. Room is paid for and the experience is worth the effort. If you have any questions, please ask. Submitted by David Hartman |
