The Twelve Concepts (Short Form)

Concept 8:  The Trustees of the General Service Board act in two primary capacities:  (a) With respect to the larger matters of over-all policy and finance, they are the principal planners and administrators.  They and their primary committees directly manage these affairs.  (b) But with respect to our separately incorporated and constantly active services, the relation of the Trustees is mainly that of full stock ownership and of custodial oversight which they exercise through their ability to elect all directors of these entities.     - AA Service Manual, pg. 33

  If your Group has a G.S.R. as it should, but he or she finds it hard or inconvenient to make the District Meetings and represent your group, fire him or her. Find someone willing to fulfill the commitment. It's not much of a commitment. Your group deserves it.
     Why shouldn't your group have a vote on the Districts matters?  In October, at the North Florida Area Assembly, we have two Palm Coast members standing for Area positions. In a perfect world, every Group in Flagler Country would have a G.S.R. there to support them and vote for them. Also part of the commitment of G.S.R. is to attend the Area Assembly. Room is paid for and the experience is worth the effort. If you have any questions, please ask. Submitted by David Hartman

To all Flagler County A.A.s: You are invited to the November GSRs Meeting, on the last Monday of the month, November 27th at 6:30 at Florida Hospital Flagler to nominate a new slate of Officers & Chairs for 2007-8.  Please mention at your Group Biz Meeting that District 22 will be conducting elections in November for: OFFICERS: DCM, Alt-DCM, Secretary & Treasurer. CHAIRPERSONS: Corrections, Treatment, Grapevine, C.P.C. (Co-operation with the Professional Community) & P.I. (Public Information).  Please make your GSR aware of your preferences & encourage them to attend & vote at the meeting.
