Service that works, Bring AA to the Jail..

A second meeting date has been approved for the Flagler County Inmate Facility (Jail).
It will be Sunday evenings at 7 PM for both men and women.   Please contact Dutch D. to do AA service at the Jail for one Sunday evening each month.

Presently AA meetings are brought to the Flagler Facility each Monday evening at 7 PM for both the men and women guests of Flagler County. It would be of real service if we could bring these two meetings each week to those who want them. Dutch can be contacted at 386-503-7462 for further information.

Reminder:  3rd Quarter Area Assembly July14-16, 2006 ; for all Group GSRs/Alt GSRs for District 22:  Next North Florida Area 14 Assembly will be held 14-16 July 2006 in Gainesville at the Paramount Hotel. Once again this quarters area assembly held 7-9 April was poorly represented by District 22 with only the District DCM and Alt DCM/GSR and 2 Alt GSRs attending and casting  4 of a total of 194 eligible votes at the assembly. District 22 MUST BE better represented if we wish to have our presence recognized as participating members of Alcoholics Anonymous

Do you have the answers to your own AA questions?

Sometimes I think I have the answers to my own AA questions.  And sometimes, these questions motivate me to search the web or do some reading from approved AA literature.  To my amazement, I always learn something.  Be ready for a group conscience meeting.  READ  http://www.aa.org/, or any AA approved literature; or become a GSR or DCM, there is so much to learn about AA. that can be passed to help newer AA's keep our singleness of purpose, and to keep our groups knowledge base updated.

I have been questioning myself recently about what literature is AA approved.  So, I did some reading and found the approved literature list in The A.A. Service manual on pages S75-S77.    submitted by the editor

2nd Quarter WORKSHOP

hosted by T.G.I.F. is scheduled for May 13 at The Flagler Beach City Hall 1-3 PM. The topic will be "Common Threads That Bind us", facilitated by Dick G. a past Area Delegate & S.E. Region Trustee. Please bring some finger foods (go easy on the sweets, please).

1st Quarter WORKSHOP

was hosted by The Happy Wanderers. If you skipped it you missed a ton of information presented by Cecelia R. & Al B. on Anonymity. Very well presented & accepted. Though attendance was low that does not always preclude an unsuccessful WORKSHOP.

Welcome to The Footprints in the Sand Group for joining The WORKSHOP Host List. Thank you for doing service at these much needed WORKSHOPS. That list now includes 5 groups which spreads the responsibility around. Is your group on the list? If you would like it to be, instruct your GSR to bring that info to The District GSR Meeting.

At The District level there is an opening for Grapevine Rep. Should you or someone you know be interested in taking the position please come to the District GSR meeting.
