Thank you Linda M.

   “Charlie slipped…..            ..…and broke his leg.”

The Dinner/Dance was a complete success with over 140 attending. The folks at the Columbia Club were very helpful and courteous. Congrats go to Robin H. for winning the 50/50 drawing. A great thanks go to Gary G. and Jennifer D. for organizing this year's event. Thanks to all the others that participated and volunteered their time.

Why my group "A NEW BEGINNING" is the BEST, because;

We welcome every person that comes through the door.

            It does not matter if that person is truly a first timer, or is coming back from their 100th research expedition.

            They are always looked upon as a newcomer and welcomed with open arms.

            As a beginners group, most of our members do not have sufficient time in the program for positions that require 1 year, 2 years or more, but we do have the basic requirements of: a GSR, a CHAIR PERSON, a SECRETARY, a TREASURER, a GREETER and COFFEE MAKERS.

            Our mission is to welcome the newcomer, educate them in the first 3 steps and to install the concepts of:  SPONSORSHIP, ONE DAY AT A TIME and the IMPORTANCE OF THE TELEPHONE!

            From time to time many people with years in the program attend our meeting because they want to KEEP IT GREEN!!

They say, "I want to remember what it was like" through the sharing of the newcomers
